چکیده

Clinical record A 37-year-old woman presented in September 2005 with Grade 2 to 3 invasive ductal breast carcinoma that was oestrogen and progesterone receptor positive. Options for fertility preservation were discussed, and she decided to proceed with ovarian tissue freezing before commencing highdose gonadotoxic chemotherapy. Laparoscopic partial left oophorectomy was performed. A wedge of about 1 × 2 cm of ovarian tissue was cut with scissors without using coagulation.

O-7: Study of Structure and Follicular Maturation,Angiogenic and Apoptotic Genes Expression of Rat Ovarian Tissue After Vitrification and Autotransplantation

Background: Ovarian tissue cryopreservation and autotransplantation is the only fertility preservation way for prepubertal girls and situations that cytotoxic treatment is urgent. Materials and Methods: The ovaries of premature (5 weeks old) rats were autografted under cervical skin after vitrification. 3 weeks later, transplanted ovaries were removed from the body and structure of ovary, expre...

I-12: Optimal Strategy toward Fertility Preservation: In Vivo and In Vitro Post-Thaw Options in Gamete, Embryo and Ovarian Tissue Cryostorage

Background: Oocyte, embryo and ovarian tissue cryopreservation are proposed for fertility preservation to cancer patients who hope to be mothers after getting rid of the disease. Materials and Methods: Embryo cryopreservation is not possible for unmarried single girls without sperm partner and oocyte retrieval is a long time procedure. Thus ovarian tissue cryopreservation is suggested for ferti...

Livebirth after orthotopic transplantation of cryopreserved ovarian tissue.

BACKGROUND The lifesaving treatment endured by cancer patients leads, in many women, to early menopause and subsequent infertility. In clinical situations for which chemotherapy needs to be started, ovarian tissue cryopreservation looks to be a promising option to restore fertility. In 1997, biopsy samples of ovarian cortex were taken from a woman with stage IV Hodgkin's lymphoma and cryopreser...

Pregnancy after transplantation of cryopreserved ovarian tissue in a patient with ovarian failure after chemotherapy.

to the editor: Premenopausal women who undergo high-dose chemotherapy have a very high risk of ovarian failure. 1 Cryopreservation of ovarian tissue with subsequent autotransplantation has effectively preserved fertility in an animal model, 2 but its efficacy in humans has been uncertain. Eggs that were aspirated from cryopreserved ovarian tissue transplanted in heterotopic sites did not result...

Safety of Ovarian Tissue Autotransplantation for Cancer Patients

Cancer treatments can induce premature ovarian failure in almost half of young women suffering from invasive neoplasia. Cryopreservation of ovarian cortex and subsequent autotransplantation of frozen-thawed tissue have emerged as promising alternatives to conventional fertility preservation technologies. However, human ovarian tissue is generally harvested before the administration of gonadotox...
